75% of the Deaf population of 600 000 in South Africa are functionally illiterate.

To be released: Lisa Craye, Executive Director of Hands With Words, has written an inspirational article entitled “Gods Leading” which will be translated into Afrikaans and published in the September 2013 issue of Radio Tygerberg ‘s monthly free magazine. This article speaks about her journey to becoming an evangelist for the Deaf and following God’s will to form a ministry for the Deaf in South Africa.
