INFORMAL COMMUNITY TESTING TO DEAF CHILDREN
One of the Deaf Bible Translators, Richard, signed the story “Jesus Paralytic Heal” for the Deaf children. He signed so clearly the part where Jesus saw the faith of the four friends who brought the paralytic to Jesus, that it prompted a teenage girl to ask the question, “What is faith?” The Deaf Bible Translators explained what faith is. Lisa then realised that a natural progression to this explanation would be to explain how one receives faith. She proceeded to explain the Gospel story.
A teenage boy then asked Agnes, “So Jesus carried by sins, suffered and died on the cross for me. My sins are forgiven, finished?” Agnes’s reply was, of course, “Yes.” For the first time in this teenage boy’s life, he fully understood what Jesus did for him.
